Roy Moorby
I began my career at BDO Binder Hamlyn in 1980 as a trainee accountant and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983. After 9 years of great training and experience at Binder Hamlyn, I formed an Audit & Accountancy practice with Chris Bell, which became BM Howarth (BMH). Chris and I ran the practice for 36 years until his untimely death in 2025. I am now looking forward to continuing the growth and development of BMH with a new management team.
I am proud of the work we have done at BMH. We have worked for some of the most successful businesses in the country and have helped many of them achieve their ambitions. I am equally proud of the many accountancy trainees that we have helped over the years. Developing talented young professionals is crucial to BMH’s growth and future success.
Outside of work, I enjoy my role as Chairman of Streethouse Cricket Club. It is a challenging role, but the small successes have been very rewarding. Despite many other commitments, my main role in 2026 will be as a grandpa to my first grandson, Casper.
