Established in 1989 by Chris Bell and Roy Moorby as a general accountancy practice providing audit and taxation services for a range of clients in the West Yorkshire area and trading under the name of Bell Moorby Chartered Accountants.

In addition to the natural development of the business, the well established Halifax Practices of K W Howarth & Co and Matthews Brooke Taylor & Co have been acquired in 1994 and 2004 respectively, with the Corporate Headquarters now situated at West House, King Cross Road, Halifax HX1 1EB.

B M Howarth act for a number of UK based listed Companies together with a significant private client portfolio and many general businesses of varying sizes.

The standard services of Accountancy, Audit and taxation have been expanded by the recruitment of key specialists to include, Internal Audit, Corporate Finance, Computer Systems and Software Packages and Advanced Tax Planning.
